Frances Fagan Alderete is an Irish artist working and living in Stockholm. She graduated with a Master of Arts in Visual Arts Practices from Dun Laoghaire Institute Of Art Design + Technology, Dublin, Ireland.

Her recent work is inspired by the landscape of the west of Ireland, where the Atlantic coastline, fields, and stone walls create an environment that feels both expansive and grounding. Working through abstraction rather than direct representation, she explores atmosphere, rhythm, and movement found within stillness.

Alongside the landscape-informed paintings, she also work with monoprints and drypoint etchings on rice paper.
